BEFORE + AFTER CARE
BEFORE -CARE:
1. Exfoliate: Prior to your appointment, gently exfoliate your skin using a non-oil-based scrub. Focus on areas prone to dryness like elbows, knees, ankles, and any rough patches to ensure an even tan.
2. Shave or Wax: If needed, shave or wax at least 24 hours before your appointment to allow pores to close and skin to settle. This helps prevent any irritation or uneven absorption of the tanning solution.
3. Avoid Moisturizers and Oils: Refrain from applying moisturizers, oils, or perfumes on the day of your appointment. These can create a barrier that may interfere with the tanning solution's absorption, affecting the outcome of your tan.
4. Remove Makeup and Deodorant: If you wear makeup or deodorant, make sure to remove it thoroughly before your appointment. Residue from these products can affect the tan's development.
5. Wear Loose, Dark Clothing: Choose loose, dark-colored clothing to wear after your tan session to avoid rubbing off the solution and staining lighter fabrics. Avoid tight clothing and shoes that may cause rubbing.
6. Prepare Your Space: If receiving a mobile tan, ensure the area where the tan will be applied is clean and clear of obstacles. Have towels or sheets available to protect floors and furniture.
7. Prepare for Drying Time: Plan to avoid sweating or getting wet for at least 6-8 hours post-tan to allow the solution to develop fully. This includes activities like showering, swimming, or intense physical activities.
Following these before-care tips will help ensure you get the best results from your Cocoa Couture Tan experience.
After-care :
1. Avoid Water and Sweat: Refrain from showering, swimming, or any activity that may cause you to sweat for at least 6-8 hours after your tan. This allows the tanning solution to fully develop and set.
2. Wear Loose Clothing: Continue wearing loose, dark-colored clothing immediately after your tan to prevent rubbing off the solution. Tight clothing can disturb the tan's development.
3. Moisturize: Hydrate your skin daily with a gentle, oil-free moisturizer. This helps maintain your tan and keeps your skin smooth and hydrated. Avoid products containing mineral oil, as it can strip the tan.
4. Pat Dry: When showering, pat your skin dry gently instead of rubbing. This helps preserve your tan longer.
5. Avoid Exfoliation: Skip exfoliation or any harsh scrubbing for the duration of your tan. This can accelerate the fading process.
6. Limit Chlorinated Water: Chlorine in pools and hot tubs can fade your tan faster. If swimming, rinse off immediately afterward and apply a water-resistant sunscreen.
7. Extend with Gradual Tanner: To prolong your tan, consider using a gradual tanning lotion or mousse. These products can help extend the life of your tan between appointments.
By following these after-care tips, you can maximize the longevity and appearance of your Cocoa Couture Tan, ensuring a beautiful and even glow for as long as possible.
